There are all kinds of new technologies available for use in the classroom that were not created with education in mind. This session will explore lessons, activities, and electrifying ways use to a wearable expressly created to track activity, the Fitbit, and my favorite voice-activated assistants, the Amazon Alexa devices. Areas to be discussed include privacy concerns, data literacy tie-ins, health literacy ideas, and classroom support suggestions.
