Virtual Reality & Augmented Reailty in the Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Virtual reality in the classroom has the potential to remove the physical walls of learning and impact students in ways never before possible. By integrating this tool along with Google Expeditions, we can now transport learners underwater, into space or into the past to engage students in real and profound ways. In addition to this, augmented reality is now transporting the world into the classroom.

In this workshop, we will explain how previously cost prohibitive virtual reality and augmented reality solutions are no longer an obstacle and how one hardware setup accomplish both. Then we will move into how virtual reality can be in every classroom everywhere by aligning it with curriculum. Finally, we will discuss our lessons learned during our augmented reality deployment.

There will be devices available and we will explore both augmented and virtual reality during this session.
